- User manual (or QR Code)
Ensure all components are included upon unpacking.
3. Getting Started
- Required tools: Wire cutters, pliers, electrical tape.
- Recommended mounting location: Securely under motorcycle seat, away from excessive heat or moisture.
4. Installation Instructions
Connectors
Package comes with four non intrusive quick tap connectors, to provide most user friendly installation. Simply find the correct wires (either from your bike's service manual, searching online or you can use the connector to tap into a wire and check the voltage when pressing the brake).
Tap into the right wires first then strip the BrakeBright wires and use the connector cap to securely attach.
Basic Installation (Auxiliary Mode)
- Mount securely under the motorcycle seat using included cable ties, with the arrow on the case pointing forward.
- Connect Red wire to switched +12V source, ideally from running tail lights.
- Connect Black wire to ground.
- Connect only Green wire to brake/tail lamp wire. This activates brake light during engine braking.
- Insulate the remaining Yellow wire, either with tape or with posi-tap connector
- Device can be mounted upside-down to disable flash mode.
Advanced Installation (Emergency Brake Flash Mode)
This mode requires to cut the brake light signal line. Switch side becomes the signal input (Yellow) and Lamp side becomes the output (Green). If you need to remove BrakeBright from the system, re-join the wires with a connector or solder them together.
- Mount securely under seat using included cable ties, arrow pointing forward.
- Connect Red wire to switched +12V source from running tail light.
- Connect Black wire to ground.
- Cut the brake light wire from the brake switch.
- Connect tail lamp side to Green wire (signal output).
- Connect brake switch side to Yellow wire (signal input).
